I am a certified Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) coach - a science based nutritional approach that can alleviate autoimmune disease.
The simple basis of AIP is to remove foods that can stimulate the immune system, and therefore lead to possible flare-ups, and to add back nutrient-dense foods that help balance the immune system.
It consists of an elimination and a re-introduction phase: the foods that can negatively stimulate our body are initially eliminated (all at once or progressively) and then re- introduced one at the time following a specific procedure. During the re-introduction phase symptoms are carefully monitored in order to identify individual triggers.
Everyone finds a very personal balance and most importantly learns to read his/her own body reactions so to self adjust when needed in the future.
